Wound closure strips are a well-established product in the field of wound closure. During the development of Leukoplast® Leukosan® Strips, particular emphasis was placed on high-quality materials and a durable yet flexible fit around the wound edges. The specially knitted material reduces the risk of skin maceration and allows moisture to pass through.
The interwoven polyamide fibres guarantee the exceptional elasticity of Leukoplast® Leukosan® Strip. This intelligent structure adapts to the different stages of a wound’s healing process. The strong yet skin-friendly adhesive ensures rapid and secure adhesion of the wound edges. Rounded corners prevent the material from curling up and ensure it stays in place on the skin for a long time.
If a skin suture or staple is removed early, Leukoplast® Leukosan® Strip can improve the cosmetic appearance of the scar.
