It is the best possible food for your child and also contains antibodies, live cells and other substances that protect your baby from infections and help them to grow and thrive. To ensure that the beneficial nutrients in your milk are preserved, the way you store, freeze and thaw it is crucial. You’ve made a great choice by buying Lansinoh® breast milk bottles! Lansinoh’s special breast milk bottles are ideal for expressing, storing and freezing breast milk. Lansinoh® breast milk bottles are made from polypropylene, the preferred material for storing breast milk – guaranteed to be free from bisphenol A.

Each bottle holds 160 ml of liquid. An easy-to-read scale on the rim of the bottle makes it simple to determine the amount poured in. The bottles are compatible with all Lansinoh breast pumps and the NaturalWave® teat – which allows babies to maintain the sucking pattern they learnt at the breast. The bottles are also ideal for storing breast milk in the freezer – thanks to the silicone insert, which expands when frozen, they are completely leak-proof.

The breast milk bottles can be placed in the dishwasher for cleaning and, if necessary, sterilised afterwards. The Lansinoh® breast milk bottle set includes 4 bottles with lids and seals.

Defrosting and warming Lansinoh® breast milk bottles

• To preserve the valuable nutrients in your breast milk, it should be defrosted gently in the fridge or at room temperature over several hours. You can also defrost the breast milk in a water bath (max. 37°C). Store defrosted milk in the fridge until ready to use. Do not store breast milk in the fridge door, as it is not cold enough there. Any leftovers from a breast milk feed that has already been warmed must be discarded.
• Warning: Do not use boiling water or a microwave to warm the milk!
• Tip: If the milk in the bottle forms different layers, mix the layers by shaking gently. Thawed milk sometimes changes its taste. You should therefore use older breast milk first. You can also mix it with milk expressed recently. Sometimes, thawed milk may have a soapy smell. This is caused by the breakdown of milk fats. This milk is safe to drink, but if your baby refuses it, try mixing it with fresh milk. However, if the milk smells sour or rancid, please do not feed it to your baby.

Lansinoh breast milk bottles – safety warnings

• Keep individual parts out of the reach of children. • Do not clean with abrasive cleaners or solvents. This may damage the material!
• When not in use, store in a dry and protected place.
• DO NOT HEAT BREAST MILK IN THE MICROWAVE! Heating in the microwave alters the composition of the milk. Furthermore, hot spots may form in the milk, which could burn your baby.
• DO NOT defrost breast milk in hot or boiling water.
