Product information "Lactrase® 6000 FCC tablets dispenser"
Lactrase® 6000 FCC Tablets are a food supplement that supports the digestion of milk sugar (lactose). The enzyme lactase it contains breaks down lactose into its components glucose and galactose.
How does Lactrase® work?
The enzyme lactase contained in Lactrase® breaks down lactose into its easily utilisable components glucose and galactose. The enzyme itself is neither absorbed from the small intestine nor does it have any effect on the organism. The action of lactase takes place exclusively in the chyme. The consumption of Lactrase® (even in large quantities) is therefore harmless and there is no risk of adverse effects, even with regular and long-term consumption. Lactrase® is therefore also suitable for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and children.
Where does the lactase contained in Lactrase® come from?
The lactase enzyme contained in Lactrase® is produced with the help of the fungus Aspergillus oryzae and is therefore not of animal origin. This fungus has been used for decades for the production of food enzymes.
Where is the lactase released?
After consumption, the capsule or tablet dissolves in the stomach within a few minutes and releases the lactase it contains, which is then available to break down the lactose present in the chyme. A gastro-resistant encapsulation of the enzyme we use is not necessary because Lactrase® contains a so-called "acidic" lactase that can work well in the acidic environment of the stomach.
How is Lactrase® used?
You should test individually how much Lactrase® is sufficient for you. We recommend starting with two capsules or mini-tablets of Lactrase® 3300 or one capsule or mini-tablet of Lactrase® 6000 for every 5g of lactose in your meal. You can increase the number of capsules or mini-tablets without hesitation and according to your personal requirements. If you want to consume a large amount of lactose, e.g. a large glass of milk, a large latte or several scoops of ice cream with cream, or if you are sensitive to even small amounts of lactose, we recommend using Lactrase® 12000 or Lactrase® 18000. The capsules/tablets should be taken immediately before or with food or drink containing lactose. The capsules can also be opened and their contents added to food or drinks that are up to 50°C warm. This is particularly suitable for use by children. Simply squeeze the capsule gently and pull the two halves of the capsule apart at the same time.
