LEITNER Lifecare Lithium Solution is a laboratory chemical with lithium orotate - the salt of orotic acid and the trace element lithium. 1 ml contains 13 mg lithium orotate monohydrate corresponding to 0.5 mg lithium.

Lithium orotate is the result of the combination of the trace element lithium with orotic acid, producing a stable salt. According to the chemical classification, lithium is categorised as an alkali metal. Lithium salts occur in brines, mostly in salt lakes, but also in other bodies of water. The present solution contains 0.5 milligrams of elemental lithium per millilitre, corresponding to 13 milligrams of lithium orotate monohydrate, which is completely dissolved in purified water. Thanks to this composition, reliable and reproducible use in technical and scientific applications is possible. The outer carton protects against the effects of light and contributes to chemical stability. The supplied dosing aid with scaling enables precise sampling for everyday laboratory use.
