The LEITNER Lifecare Bengal Pink 10 % DMSO 10 % solution is suitable for use as a stain or as a contrast agent in microscopy.

Bengal rose is a strongly staining solution. It can also be used to quantify the excretory capacity of the liver. In the case of uncontrolled cell growth, Bengal Pink 10 % in DMSO passes through the cell walls and accumulates in the lysosomes, thereby initiating the autolysis of these cells. The combination with DMSO (dimethyl sulphoxide) serves to improve Bengal rose’s tissue permeability. This compound diffuses extremely well through biological membranes and, consequently, through the skin. It has the ability to carry other substances with it, thereby facilitating their transport through the skin into the body (carrier function).
