LAVASORB® wound irrigation solution is a ready-to-use wound irrigation solution and liquid suitable for moisturising wound dressings and for cleaning and rinsing wounds.
Lavasorb is a ready-to-use solution for cleaning, rinsing, moisturising and decontaminating skin wounds. It is also intended for moisturising wound dressings. Lavasorb is also used intraoperatively for cleaning and rinsing.
Lavasorb contains polyhexanide as a preservative, which also has an antimicrobial effect. Macrogol (polyethylene glycol 4000) is used to optimise the moistening of the wound surface by reducing the surface tension. Polyhexanide prevents the growth of bacteria and fungi in the solution after the container has been opened for the first time and in the wound dressing.
