• L-Mesitran Soft forms the basis for all other products
• Enriched medical honey
• 40% medicinal honey (low osmotic effect – no pain)

Indications

• Superficial and acute wounds, such as cuts, grazes and split-skin graft sites.
• Superficial and first- and second-degree burns.
• Chronic wounds, such as pressure ulcers, venous, arterial and diabetic ulcers.
• Oncological wounds (for deodorisation and wound cleansing).
• Colonised acute wounds and (post-operative) surgical wounds.

Directions for use

1. Cleaning the wound: First, rinse and clean the wound thoroughly in accordance with medical standards.
2. Open the tube: Unscrew the cap. Disinfect the thread with an alcohol swab. Pierce the seal with the back of the cap (do not press down on the tube whilst doing so).
3. Apply the gel: Apply the gel directly to the wound and the surrounding area using a sterile spatula. Alternatively, apply the gel to a sterile compress first. For deep wounds, the gel can be used as a wound filler.
4. Cover: Cover the wound with a suitable secondary dressing (e.g. gauze, foam dressing or plaster). The gel also prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound.
5. Sealing: Screw the tube back on tightly immediately after each use.
