Directions for use

  • Remove the foam from the packaging and cut the dressing to the required size. Peel off both protective films from the dressing and apply the dressing to the wound. Cover and secure with a suitable secondary dressing.
  • Frequency of dressing changes: Depending on the condition of the wound and the amount of exudate being released, the foam may remain on the wound for up to 7 days. If necessary, the product may remain in place whilst the secondary dressing is being changed. Should the product have become too dry, its complete and gentle removal may be aided by rinsing it.
  • Precautions and warnings: Do not use if the primary packaging is damaged or contaminated, or if the expiry date has passed. Due to autolytic debridement, the wound may initially appear larger after the first few dressing changes. This is a natural process resulting from the breakdown of devitalised tissue and prepares the wound bed for healing. If the wound swells, becomes red or painful, or does not begin to heal within a few days, consult a doctor. Examine the wound and the surrounding tissue at regular intervals in accordance with the guidelines applicable in your area. If you experience hypersensitivity to the foam dressing or its components, remove it using appropriate methods and clean the entire area thoroughly.
