Klean Labs Folic Acid 400 Capsules are a food supplement with 400 µg (680 DFE) folic acid (vitamin B9) per capsule. The product is vegan and GMO-free.

Folic acid belongs to the group of B vitamins and is a heat-sensitive and water-soluble vitamin. Foods rich in folic acid, such as wholemeal products, pulses and green leafy vegetables, therefore quickly lose the vitamin during preparation and storage. Folic acid is involved in a number of metabolic processes, such as cell division and haematopoiesis. During pregnancy, the need for folic acid may be increased as it contributes to the growth of maternal tissue
