Countless gut bacteria form the complex and diverse ecosystem known as the gut microbiome. This has a decisive influence on essential bodily functions and, consequently, on human wellbeing. A healthy bacterial landscape ensures the effective absorption of micronutrients. Specific gut bacteria are also responsible for the body’s own production of vitamins. The gut is therefore a true energy centre – both the engine and the site of energy metabolism.
This is where Kijimea® Life comes in, helping to support normal energy metabolism (vitamins B6 and B12, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, biotin, pantothenic acid and calcium). As well as essential vitamins, proteins and minerals, Kijimea® Life contains an exceptionally high number of 101 different strains of micro-organisms – all in one drink!
The gut: the centre of our wellbeing
- For centuries, the gut was regarded merely as a digestive organ. It was only through recent medical research that we came to realise that it is far more than that: it is the centre of our wellbeing.
- Experts have discovered that the gut – and, above all, the billions of bacteria living within it – has a decisive impact on our entire body; the term ‘microbiome’ was coined to describe this sophisticated ecosystem.
- There is now a scientific consensus that an unbalanced microbiome – caused, for example, by stress or a poor diet – can be responsible for symptoms such as exhaustion and fatigue, a lack of energy or a weakened immune system.
- Although many people prioritise their health and therefore supplement their daily diet with vitamins and micronutrients in the form of capsules, tablets or drops, the gut – which is so fundamental to our health – is usually neglected. The result: many dietary supplements cannot fully deliver on their promises.
Increased bioavailability
- The microbiome influences our health not only directly but also indirectly. Certain changes in its composition affect how efficiently the vitamins and micronutrients we consume are absorbed. Experts refer to this as ‘bioavailability’.
- Not only that: a healthy bacterial ecosystem in the gut also contributes to our health and well-being through its own production of important vitamins. Conversely, this means that an unbalanced microbiome can have a doubly negative effect on both body and mind.
- Kijimea® Life is therefore inspired by the diversity of the human gut microbiome and contains an exceptionally high number of 101 different microculture strains, which also occur naturally in the gut.
Holistic nutrition – starting with the gut
- Kijimea® Life therefore consistently approaches your supply of the most important micronutrients, vitamins and trace elements from the perspective of the gut.
- This is because Kijimea® Life contains an exceptionally high number of 101 different microculture strains, which also occur naturally in the gut.
- In addition, Kijimea® Life contains the most important micronutrients and vitamins for your daily needs – in particular riboflavin, niacin and biotin, which contribute to the normal function of the mucous membranes, including the intestinal mucosa. A healthy intestinal mucosa provides an optimal environment for the development of the gut flora and is therefore crucial for a healthy gut.
- Furthermore, the vitamins B6, B12 and thiamine, as well as pantothenic acid, help maintain normal energy metabolism and reduce tiredness and fatigue. Vitamin D, which contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system, has also been included to support the body’s defences.
A drink for your daily routine
- Kijimea® Life can be easily incorporated into your daily routine – for example, as a daily accompaniment to breakfast. Simply add 2 level measuring spoons of the powder together with 70 ml of still water to the handy shaker provided, give it a quick shake and enjoy.
- Kijimea® Life is flavoured with natural honey and vanilla.
