Kasimir and Lieselotte - Card root DMSO solution, 30 ML

Product information "Kasimir and Lieselotte - Card root DMSO solution"

Kasimir and Lieselotte - Cardoon root DMSO is prepared in a 1:1 ratio (1300 ml extraction liquid to 1000 g of wild card roots).

The unique selling point of DMSO is that it can dissolve and bind both water- and fat-soluble substances very well. At the same time, it is absolutely compatible with all types of body tissue. DMSO also acts as a "channel opener" by penetrating biological membranes. This means that it is able to both effectively extract the substances from the plant and then transport them into the body.

Wild teasel (Dipsacus follum L., Dipsacus sylvestris HUDS.)

  • The wild card belongs to the subfamily of the card family (Dipsacoideae) within the honeysuckle family. Although the inflorescence is reminiscent of that of thistles (Asteraceae), this development has taken place independently of one another in the case of teasel and thistle. The grouping of many individual flowers into false flowers seems to be evolutionarily advantageous for the interaction with certain insects. The wild teasel is a biennial herbaceous plant. In the first year, the plant forms strong rosettes and a tuberous root. It is not until the following year that the cardoon grows to a height of up to 200 cm. Opposite, overgrown leaves on the stem form the so-called Venus basin in which rainwater collects. This basin, which serves as a source of water for thirsty creatures such as birds and insects, gives the teasel its name (Dipsacus, Dipsa Greek for thirst). The water of the Venus basin is also popularly known as beauty water (if you are interested in this special water, please contact our staff). Towards the middle of summer, the cardoon forms its inflorescences. The individual flowers of the inflorescence open in colourful purple rings and allow the cardoon to shine in all its beauty.
  • The cultural development of mankind goes hand in hand with the knowledge of the power of plants and herbs. People have acquired this knowledge over thousands of years and passed it on from generation to generation. We at Kasimir + Lieselotte would like to do our part to ensure that this invaluable heritage is preserved and can be utilised by every self-determined and responsible person.
