Insecticum® Gel, 12 G

Thanks to its composition, Insecticum Gel quickly provides pain relief, soothes itching, has a cooling effect and reduces swelling. Its alcohol-based, oil-free gel formula also has a disinfectant effect.

Quick relief after a sting!

We’ve all been there – that annoying buzzing and whirring that can quickly turn a lovely summer’s day into a nightmare. Annoying stings from insects such as bees, wasps, hornets, mosquitoes, horseflies or midges are almost impossible to avoid in summer and during the damp autumn months. Stings are particularly painful for children: they often cannot resist the urge to scratch, and by doing so they introduce additional germs into the wound. As well as insect stings, contact with stinging nettles can also lead to unpleasant skin irritation.

Insecticum® Gel provides rapid relief here thanks to its tried-and-tested active ingredients. It quickly soothes discomfort following insect stings and contact with stinging nettles.

• Diphenhydramine is a tried-and-tested histamine blocker and has an anti-allergic effect against hypersensitivity reactions of the skin. It quickly relieves itching and also counteracts swelling and redness.
• The combination of the two active ingredients, benzocaine and diphenhydramine, enhances their pain-relieving and anti-itching effects.
  
• L-menthol produces a refreshing cooling sensation on the skin, which helps to relieve the symptoms.
• The alcohol-based, oil-free gel base also provides a disinfectant effect.

Directions for use

Children (over 2 years), adolescents and adults: Apply a strip of Insecticum Gel approximately 0.5 cm long to the affected areas of skin as soon as possible and, if necessary, massage in gently. If required, this can be repeated 3 to 4 times a day.

Ingredients

• The active ingredients are: benzocaine and diphenhydramine hydrochloride. One gram of gel contains: 50 mg benzocaine and 20 mg diphenhydramine hydrochloride.
• The other ingredients are: menthol, hydroxyethylcellulose, an ethyl alcohol–water mixture and purified water.
