Ibuprofen Rat & Tat 400 mg pain relief tablets are an over-the-counter medicine containing the active ingredient ibuprofen. An effective painkiller and fever-reducer for the relief of mild to moderate pain and fever.

Ibuprofen, the active ingredient in Ibuprofen Rat & Tat, is a substance with pain- relieving and anti-inflammatory effects.

Ibuprofen Rat & Tat is used in adults, adolescents and children aged 6 years and over who weigh at least 20 kg, for the treatment of:

  • Mild to moderate pain (such as headaches, toothache and period pain)
  • Pain and fever associated with colds

If you do not feel any better, or if your condition worsens, after 3–4 days, consult your doctor.

Film-coated tablets

Directions for use

  • Adults and adolescents (aged 12 years and over) weighing ≥ 40 kg: Single dose – 1 film-coated tablet (equivalent to 400 mg ibuprofen); Maximum daily dose –3 film-coated tablets (equivalent to 1,200 mg ibuprofen).
  • Children Ibuprofen Rat & Tat must not be used in children under 6 years of age or in children over 6 years of age who weigh less than 20 kg, due to the high active ingredient content.
  • Method of administration: For oral use. The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid (e.g. a glass of water) and taken with meals (not on an empty stomach). The tablet may be divided into equal doses. There should be at least 6 hours between doses.
  • Duration of use: This medicine is intended for short-term treatment only. Treatment with ibuprofen should not exceed 3–4 days in adults, or 3 days in children and adolescents. If your symptoms persist beyond this period, consult your doctor
Ingredients

  • The active ingredient is: ibuprofen. 1 film-coated tablet contains 400 mg of ibuprofen.
  • The other ingredients are: Tablet core: lactose monohydrate, maize starch, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethyl starch, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate. Tablet coating: poly(vinyl alcohol), macrogol 3350, talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), carminic acid (E 120), yellow orange S (E 110).
