- Hyaluronic acid or hyaluronan is a polysaccharide that is also found in the human body. It is mainly found in the skin, bones, synovial fluid and the vitreous humour of the eye. The natural proportion of hyaluronic acid in the body decreases with increasing age.
- Hyaluronic acid acts as a moisturiser in our eye drops, as the active ingredient can bind up to five times its weight in water. Hyaluron-ratiopharm® gel eye drops protect the eye from drying out. Hyaluronic acid also stabilises the tear film and supports cell regeneration.

How to use
- The drops can be used several times a day as required.
- A dosage of 1 drop per eye is sufficient. Hyaluron-ratiopharm® gel eye drops are easy and safe to use. Place your head on the back of your neck and hold the bottle over your eye. You can open the eyelids with one hand and instil the eye drops with the other. For more safety when instilling, simply place your hand on your forehead. The liquid is distributed evenly in the eye by blinking. The excess liquid and thus possible allergens flow out directly.
