- Reduces the surface friction of the tendon
- Increases the gliding ability
- Reduces pain
- Improves tendon function
- Hyaluronic acid with 500-730k: This is the most studied molecular weight for tendinopathies. It has optimal rheological properties at the injection site and is easy to inject.
- Reduces swelling and tenderness1: The effect of Hyalotend®️ in the tendon also improves clinical symptoms and the surrounding tissue.
- Faster return to sport or everyday activity: Hyalotend shortens the immobilisation phase after injury, improves the metabolic state of the tendon and thus enables faster resilience.1,3
- Reduces thickening and adhesions of the tendon1,4: In this way, the regeneration process is accelerated with the help of the hyaluronic acid it contains - with an objectively measurable improvement.
- Relieves pain quickly and for a long time1,3: In addition to functional limitations, pain in particular causes stress and restrictions in everyday life for patients. Hyalotend®️ brings rapid and lasting relief here.
- Tendinopathy of the Achilles tendon
- Tendinopathy of the patellar tendon
- Hamstring tendinopathy
- Plantar fasciitis
- Tendinopathy in the shoulder cuff
- Insertional tendinopathy in the upper arm - "tennis elbow", "golfer's elbow"
- Tendovaginitis stenosans de Quervain in the wrist
- Hyaluronic acid is produced in the normal tendon sheath, where it acts as a lubricant for the smooth movement of the tendon. It is also a major component of the extracellular matrix of the tendon, buffering external shocks and protecting against trauma. In addition, HA has an influence on viability, metabolic activity, apoptosis and collagen expression in tenocytes and supplies the tendon with nutrients.
- Interrupted training activities change the morphology of the tendon and its metabolic activity, which in turn leads to reduced extensibility and matrix degeneration and thus to tendinopathy.5 Tendinopathies can also result from degenerative changes.
- Hyalotend® consists of low molecular weight hyaluronic acid (HA 500-730 kDa), the main component of the extracellular matrix. In addition, repeated injections of HA 500-730 kDa in untrained patellar tendons showed a high effectiveness on tenocyte morphology, survival, proliferation and synthesis performance.
- Through these mechanisms, Hyalotend® accelerates the regeneration of tissue defects and restores their functionality
