On our Hildegardhof farm, the herb fields are still cultivated in the traditional way and the fresh organic wormwood plants are harvested at the right time as the first cut. The freshly cut wormwood plants are processed directly on site. Thanks to the rapid processing and gentle cold pressing, the ingredients that are so important according to Hildegard are retained.

Wormwood has been used as a stimulating food for centuries. Scientific research has identified a large number of bitter substances and essential oils in wormwood, which give it its typical aromatic flavour.
