Hansaplast Second Skin Protection Liquid Plaster Concentrate and Spray Plasters offer targeted protection for minor, superficial, dry everyday wounds. Unlike conventional plasters, these liquid plasters form a flexible, waterproof film that feels like a second skin and stays in place even on moving parts of the body. This makes them ideal for hard-to-reach areas or for outdoor and sporting activities.
Can liquid plasters be used on open wounds?
Hansaplast Second Skin Protection Spray Plasters and Liquid Plaster Concentrate can be used on small, superficial, dry open wounds. Before use, it is important to stop any bleeding, then clean and dry the affected area before applying the product. However, the liquid plasters should not be used on deep, infected, bleeding or weeping wounds.
Can a wound-healing ointment be used whilst using Hansaplast Second Skin Protection Spray Plaster or Liquid Plaster Concentrate?
Wound healing ointments must not be used in conjunction with liquid plasters such as Hansaplast Second Skin Protective Spray Plaster or Liquid Plaster Concentrate, as they would impair the formation of the film and the effectiveness of the plaster. Please ensure that your skin is dry and free from creams.

Directions for use
Clean & dry First stop the bleeding, then clean and dry the affected area.
- Shake well – shake the spray well.
- Apply – Spray a thin film onto the wound from a distance of 5–10 cm.
- Allow to dry – Allow to dry. Repeat the application if necessary. The plaster film will dissolve on its own over time. Please read the package leaflet for detailed information.
