DOUXO® S3 PYO Pads for dogs and cats, 30 ST

DOUXO® S3 PYO Pads are pre-soaked cotton pads for cleaning and disinfecting the skin of dogs and cats. They are impregnated with chlorhexidine digluconate (3%), an antiseptic active ingredient that kills bacteria and yeasts.

Many factors can disrupt and weaken the skin’s ecosystem in dogs and cats. They can damage the skin barrier, upset the balance of the natural skin flora and trigger the body’s defences, leading to irritation. If the skin’s ecosystem becomes unbalanced, pathogenic microorganisms such as bacteria or yeasts can multiply excessively and exacerbate symptoms (such as skin irritation). If you suspect your pet has a skin infection, we recommend that you consult a vet to obtain a proper diagnosis and treatment. 

The DOUXO S3 PYO products are effective against bacteria and fungi, are gentle on the skin and help to strengthen it:

• Powerful action against bacteria: A compromised skin ecosystem can lead to the bacteria that normally live on healthy skin multiplying excessively and causing skin problems. Our DOUXO S3 PYO products have an antibacterial effect and are clinically proven to reduce the number of bacteria on the skin.
• Powerful antifungal action: Just like bacteria, there are also yeasts that live on the surface of healthy skin. If the skin barrier is compromised, certain fungi, such as Malassezia species, can proliferate and lead to skin problems. DOUXO S3 PYO has an antifungal effect and has been proven to reduce the number of yeasts on the skin.
• Optimised pH level to promote a rich and diverse microflora: An acidic pH level of the skin helps to maintain a healthy skin barrier and, in particular, promotes the balance of the skin microbiota (= all microorganisms living on healthy skin, such as bacteria, fungi or viruses). An alkaline skin pH, on the other hand, encourages the growth of pathogenic microorganisms. For this reason, all our DOUXO S3 PYO products have an acidic pH.
• Strengthens the skin barrier and moisturises: Frequent use of products with a disinfectant effect can dry out the skin. The formulations of our DOUXO S3 PYO products have been developed to effectively disinfect the skin whilst simultaneously moisturising it. Directions for use

• Useonce a dayfor 2–3 weeks.
• Gently dab or wipe the skin; do not rinse off afterwards. Use once a day. For cats, do not apply between the toes.
