- Whether it’s a car accident, an operation or some other kind of injury, many of life’s misfortunes leave their mark in the form of scars. Whilst almost everyone has one or more scars that remind them of such situations, some scars can be more significant than others. In addition to possible physical pain and discomfort, they can lead to psychological distress and reduced self-confidence, particularly when scars are located on visible parts of the body.
- Hansaplast Scar Reduction is a transparent, self-adhesive polyurethane plaster. Products made from this material have been used in professional wound care for many years. The plasters contain no active ingredients (pharmaceuticals) that could cause side effects. They are a safe and effective way to reduce raised and discoloured hypertrophic scars or keloid scars.

- The transparent polyurethane plaster forms a semi-occlusive barrier, which improves the moisture content of the scar tissue. At the same time, it leads to an increase in temperature within the scar tissue. This helps to activate the skin’s own regenerative process and supports the remodelling of the scar.
- Clinical studies have shown positive results when worn for at least 12 hours a day over a period of 8 weeks. Initial results are noticeable after 3–4 weeks. Wearing the plaster for longer than 8 weeks can further enhance the success of the treatment.

Directions for use
- Remove the protective film from the self-adhesive side of the plaster.
- Apply the plaster to clean, dry skin.
- The scar should be completely covered.
