- BV often occurs when the natural balance of the vaginal flora is disrupted. Thanks to the natural bacterial flora, a healthy vaginal environment is acidic. If this vaginal flora is reduced, other bacteria can multiply and trigger BV. Typical symptoms include abnormal discharge, an unpleasant odour and discomfort.
- Many factors, such as menstruation, sexual intercourse, the use of intimate hygiene products or washing too frequently, can affect the pH level of the vagina. Antibiotics and the use of intrauterine devices (IUDs, e.g. coils) can also disrupt the natural balance of the vaginal environment.

Clinical studies have shown that the formulation of Gynolind Balance Activ vaginal suppositories safely and effectively restores and maintains the vaginal pH. Gynolind Balance Activ vaginal suppositories contain lactic acid, which effectively neutralises unpleasant odours and naturally restores the normal pH level in the vagina. It replaces the body’s own lactic acid when the vaginal flora is disrupted. The vaginal suppositories also contain glycogen, which serves as a nutrient for the existing lactic acid bacteria and thus also supports the restoration of the natural pH level (the pH level of Gynolind Balance Activ vaginal suppositories is between 3.6 and 4.2, in line with a healthy vaginal environment). The normal pH level and the nutrient glycogen promote the growth of protective lactic acid bacteria, thereby alleviating symptoms and restoring the natural balance of the vaginal environment.

Directions for use
- Treatment: For rapid relief of bacterial vaginosis (BV) with abnormal discharge, an unpleasant odour and discomfort --> Use one suppository daily for 7 days before going to bed.
- Maintenance: If symptoms recur or if you suspect an imbalance in your vaginal environment, you can use Gynolind Balance Activ vaginal suppositories to restore the natural pH level and vaginal flora. --> Repeat the treatment and use one suppository daily for 7 days before going to bed.
- It is most comfortable to use Gynolind Balance Activ vaginal suppositories before going to bed whilst lying in a comfortable position. Remove the foil wrapper and carefully insert the vaginal suppository deep into the vagina (see illustration above). The vaginal suppository must not be split, as it is intended for single use only. Gynolind Balance Activ vaginal suppositories are supplied in hygienic individual foil packets. They can also be used during your period and whilst pregnant. However, if you suspect a vaginal infection during pregnancy, you should consult a doctor. Gynolind Balance Activ vaginal suppositories may cause a stinging, burning or itching sensation if the vaginal mucosa is cracked. This is only temporary. If symptoms persist, stop using the product and seek medical advice.
