The Geratherm® classic glass thermometer works according to the principle of thermal expansion of substances. The measuring liquid is located in the thermometer vessel. The temperature-sensitive liquid expands and rises in the measuring capillary. The maximum device prevents the measuring liquid from sinking again after the measurement, which is why the measured value can still be read on the scale some time later. How to use

1. Remove the thermometer from the protective cover.
2. Clean and disinfect the product before use in accordance with the cleaning and disinfection instructions in the "Cleaning & disinfection" section.
3. Check whether the measuring liquid is below 36 °C (96.8 °F). If this is not the case, first lower the measuring liquid using the enclosed reset aid.

Notes: You must reset the measuring liquid of the thermometer before each new measurement.
