GeloRevoice® throat lozenges are designed to protect the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat. They are used to treat throat complaints such as hoarseness, a scratchy throat, a tickly cough, as well as dry mucous membranes and the resulting sore throat or non-productive, dry cough (known as a dry cough). The causes of dry and irritated mucous membranes in the mouth and throat are very varied and include, amongst others: 

• Excessive strain on the voice 
• Restricted nasal breathing (e.g. due to a cold)
• Dry air caused by heating or air conditioning
• Pollen allergy (hay fever)
• Smoking

Mechanism of action

When sucked, GeloRevoice® throat lozenges form a special Revoice Hydro-Depot® by binding moisture. This contains gel-forming ingredients such as hyaluronic acid. The Revoice Hydro-Depot® adheres well to the mucous membrane and forms a protective film over the irritated areas. The gentle effervescent effect and the special composition of the minerals stimulate saliva production intensively. This is very important for distributing the Revoice Hydro-Depot® evenly throughout the mouth and throat. Irritated areas can regenerate. Symptoms such as hoarseness, a scratchy throat, a coughing urge, as well as dry mucous membranes and the resulting sore throat, are relieved.

Directions for use

• You can suck one GeloRevoice® throat lozenge several times a day, as required, e.g. every 2–3 hours. Up to 6 lozenges may be taken daily. We recommend taking them after meals.
• GeloRevoice® throat lozenges can be used over a prolonged period or as intermittent therapy. If your acute symptoms worsen (e.g. fever, swelling of the throat, aching limbs) or do not improve within 3 days, please consult your doctor.
• Notes: Do not use in children under 6 years of age. GeloRevoice® throat lozenges may be used during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding.

Ingredients

• GeloRevoice® throat lozenges contain: xanthan gum, carbomer, sodium hyaluronate.
• Other ingredients: mannitol, sodium bicarbonate, xylitol, citric acid, macrogol, flavourings (blackcurrant, menthol), aspartame, potassium monohydrogen phosphate, zinc stearate, silicon dioxide.
