Gello® ultrasound gel , 250 ml

Gello® Ultrasound Gel is a colourless coupling agent intended for external use with ultrasound and can be used in therapeutic and diagnostic medicine.

The ultrasound gel is highly viscous and non-drip; it provides excellent skin wetting and acoustically sound transmission. It is suitable for the wide frequency ranges currently used in medical ultrasound procedures. The acoustic parameters have been tested by an independent laboratory.

The gel offers maximum penetration depth and the lowest possible self-reflection, as it is manufactured under vacuum to be free of microbubbles. Following dermatological testing for any potentially skin-irritating effects, the gel is classified as safe. The concentration of the preservative has been reduced to a minimum following tests to ensure adequate preservation, and the preservative is formaldehyde-free. The water-based product is oil-free and has a skin-neutral pH.

Directions for use

Apply the product directly to the skin. The amount required depends on the size of the skin area. Even small amounts are sufficient to achieve excellent, continuous transmission of ultrasound waves. Ultrasound gel is a water-based product; therefore, only minimal pressure is required during application to maintain contact with the transducer. Once the treatment is complete, the gel can be removed by wiping it off with paper towels.
