Vitamin D3 (colecalciferol) belongs to the group of fat-soluble vitamins. Vitamin D occupies a special position among the vitamins, as it can be formed in the skin with the help of UV-B rays from sunlight. However, in Central Europe, the amount of sunlight during the autumn and winter months is not sufficient to ensure an optimal supply. In addition, vitamin D can only be stored to a limited extent. It therefore makes sense to supplement your diet regularly, especially during the sunless months.
