Gall Pharma Vitamin C + E capsules are a food supplement with 180 mg vitamin C and 30 mg natural vitamin E from soya per capsule. The vitamin combination supports the immune system, protects against oxidative stress and increases iron absorption.
Vitamin E can be regenerated by vitamin C. It is a complex interaction of these micronutrients, whereby ascorbic acid reduces oxidised tocopherol back to active vitamin E. Ascorbic acid acts as a link between the tocopherol radical in the lipid layer and a regeneration process in aqueous areas. This means that vitamin E stores are not depleted.
This dietary supplement with the micronutrient combination can be useful in some cases:
- for deficiencies of these vitamins and antioxidants
- as atherosclerosis and cataract prophylaxis
- as protection against autoimmune processes of the musculoskeletal system
- for competitive athletes (oxidative stress)
- for cardiovascular, neuromuscular and neurological diseases

Numerous medications are also able to reduce vitamin E absorption. Examples include oral contraceptives, laxatives and lipid-lowering agents. Antacids, barbiturates, calcitonin, oral contraceptives, tetracyclines and corticosteroids lead to an increased vitamin C requirement.
