Gall Pharma Rosehip Extract Capsules are a food supplement containing 400 mg of standardised dried rosehip fruit extract (= 180 mg vitamin C) per capsule. To protect against free radicals and strengthen the immune system.
Rosehip extract 400 mg GPH capsules contain standardised dried rosehip fruit extract equivalent to 180 mg of vitamin C in a hard gelatine capsule. The water-soluble vitamin C supports the formation and maintenance of connective tissue. It is important for wound healing. Furthermore, ascorbic acid promotes the absorption of iron from food. Modern lifestyles do not always allow for a balanced diet, and our body’s vitamin reserves can be quickly depleted. A deficiency in the body can be prevented by regularly supplementing the diet with vitamins. Signs of a vitamin C deficiency can include tiredness, irritability and loss of appetite. Smokers have an increased need for vitamin C. It has been proven that vitamin C acts as an antioxidant in biological systems. Rosehip extract 400 mg GPH capsules are a dietary supplement containing natural vitamin C. Supplementing the diet with ascorbic acid may be beneficial in cases of: an unbalanced diet, alcohol abuse, diabetes mellitus, infections, stress, high-performance athletes, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, the elderly, growing adolescents, loss of appetite, smokers and delayed wound healing.
- Rose hips are the fruits of the dog rose (Rosa canina L., of the Rosaceae family). Other synonyms include wood rose, dog rose and wild heath rose. It is a shrub that grows to a height of one to several metres. This plant is native to Europe and North Africa. The rosehip has an exceptionally high vitamin C content. It also contains, amongst other things, polyphenols, fruit acids, provitamin A, vitamin E, manganese and boron. Lycopene gives this fruit its red colour. Rose hips have been used in cooking and herbal medicine since the Middle Ages. In folk medicine, the rosehip has long been used, due to its high vitamin C content, to boost the immune system, prevent colds and treat a deficiency in ascorbic acid or an increased need for vitamin C.
