Gall Pharma Radish Capsules is a dietary supplement with 400 mg horseradish extract per capsule. It has a digestive effect, strengthens the body's defences and can be used to support the treatment of urinary tract infections.
In its unprocessed state, horseradish is odourless. When the root is cut or grated, a pungent odour is released, for which allyl thiocyanate is responsible. Allyl thiocyanate is formed enzymatically from the mustard oil glycoside sinigrin when cells are damaged. Mustard oil glycosides, also known as glucosinolates, protect the plant as a defence against being eaten by animals.
Mustard oils are alsosaid to have antimicrobial properties.Horseradish can strengthen the body's defences and help to keep the respiratory system healthy. This property can be utilised for colds, especially in the respiratory tract. The mustard oils contained in horseradish can help with problems of the urinary tract, as they act in a similar way to the antibacterial properties of cranberries.
Traditionally, horseradish is also used as a digestive aid.
