Gall Pharma Olive Leaf Extract Capsules contain standardised olive leaf extract corresponding to approx. 830 mg olive leaves and 20 mg oleuropein in a hard gelatine capsule. Protect blood lipids from free radicals and support the intestinal flora.
The olive tree belongs to the olive tree family (Oleaceae) and is native to the Mediterranean region and South Africa. Olive leaf extract is said to have antioxidant and antihypertensive properties. In addition, the oleuropein contained in olive leaves has a positive effect on the elasticity of the blood vessel walls and thus improves blood flow. The polyphenols contained in olive oil help to protect blood lipids from oxidative stress. The leaves also contain inulin, a non-absorbable soluble fibre that acts as a prebiotic in the intestine. Especially in times of increased stress, it can be useful to support the heart and the vascular system through nutrition with olive leaf extract GPH capsules.
Areas of application
- Cardiovascular system: Olive oil polyphenols help to protect blood lipids from oxidative stress. The compounds in olive oil have a positive effect on the heart and blood vessels, blood pressure and the flow properties of the blood. In folk medicine, olive leaves are said to have a blood pressure-lowering effect.
- Inulin, also known as alant starch, is a mixture of polysaccharides and belongs to a group of compounds called fructans. Inulin is obtained from various plants, mainly chicory, Jerusalem artichoke, dandelion and wild yam. Inulin cannot be hydrolysed by the enzymes of the mouth and upper digestive tract, so it reaches the large intestine largely intact and is converted there by bifidobacteria and other lactic acid-producing bacteria. This can increase the relative proportion of these types of bacteria in the intestine. These effects are summarised as "prebiotic effects". Especially in times of increased stress, it can be useful to support the heart and vascular system with olive leaf nutrition. With its prebiotic properties, inulin influences a wide range of processes in the body and promotes intestinal health. It therefore makes sense to supplement the diet with inulin if there are problems with the digestive tract.
