Gall Pharma L-Glutamine Powder is a dietary supplement with approx. 2000 mg L-Glutamine per daily dose. The amino acid increases memory and concentration, supports detoxification of the body and promotes motor skills.
L-glutamine is the acid amide of the non-essential amino acid L-glutamic acid. Both are widely used and are a protein component that is never lacking. In the organism, L-glutamine is required for the formation of purine and amino sugars, for example, and in the kidneys it plays a role as an NH3 donor (neutralisation).
This amino acid fulfils the following functions:
- Radical scavenger: L-glutamine, together with L-cysteine, serves as the starting material for the synthesis of glutathione. Glutathione protects the cell from free radicals. Our current living conditions - high levels of physical and mental stress, an unbalanced diet and negative environmental influences - promote the formation of free radicals. They damage the cells and are therefore involved in the development of many diseases. Glutathione can render free radicals harmless.
- Energy supplier: L-glutamine is a rich source of energy for the body's cells and is broken down in many tissues of the body to produce energy.
- Calming effect: L-glutamine, but not glutamic acid, can cross the blood-brain barrier. L-glutamine therefore has a positive effect on memory and concentration.
