Gall Pharma Hydroxytryptophan 50 mg capsules are a dietary supplement containing the amino acid hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP). 5-HTP is a precursor to serotonin, a neurotransmitter that can support general well-being.
Griffonia simplicifolia, the African black bean, contains 5-hydroxytryptophan, also known as 5-HTP, in its seeds. 5-HTP plays a key role in the production of the ‘happiness hormone’ serotonin, which is produced in the human body from L-tryptophan, an essential amino acid. The 5-HTP contained in this product is Peak X-free and meets the highest quality standards.

Directions for use
- Adults: Take 1 capsule 2–3 times daily with liquid.
- Notes: Do not use during pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding. The concurrent use of antidepressants requires a careful assessment of the benefits and risks. Caution for diabetics – contains sugar!
Ingredients
- Ingredients: Sugar, magnesium oxide; bulking agent: mannitol (may have a laxative effect if consumed in excess!); Griffonia seed extract; anti-caking agent: magnesium salts of fatty acids. Capsule shell: gelatine; colouring agent in the capsule shell: titanium dioxide.
- Composition per daily dose (2 capsules) %NRV*: 100 mg hydroxytryptophan from Griffonia seed extract and 200 mg magnesium (53% NRV*). *NRV = Percentage of the recommended daily intake.
