Gall Pharma Grape Seed Extract Capsules are a dietary supplement containing an antioxidant combination of red grape seed extract and vitamin C. They help to relieve conjunctivitis, sensitivity to light and dry eyes.

GPH Grape Seed Extract Capsules contain 150 mg of oligomeric proanthocyanidins from MegaNatural®-BP grape seed extract, 180 mg of vitamin C and carrot powder. As natural antioxidants, OPCs are able to neutralise free radicals (reactive oxygen species). These reactive atoms or molecules are produced, amongst other things, by UV light (e.g. sunbeds), electromagnetic radiation, oxidative stress (cigarette smoking) and also naturally within the body at all times. Radicals are a natural part of life and can be counteracted by healthy individuals. Ideally, there is a balance between oxidative (radicals) and antioxidant (radical scavengers) processes in the body. If radicals are present in excessively high concentrations, this leads to changes or damage to functional biomolecules and, consequently, to cell damage (e.g. atherosclerosis). Furthermore, OPCs have beneficial effects on blood pressure, cholesterol levels and vision. According to studies, these natural plant compounds inhibit platelet aggregation, slow down blood clotting and have a protective effect on blood vessels. Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) is also an antioxidant and is capable of neutralising free radicals.

• Oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC) occur naturally in the bark, skins, seeds and leaves of various plants (e.g. grapes, pine trees). The seeds and skins of red grapes (Vitis vinifera) in particular have a high content of this secondary plant compound, which is readily absorbed by the human body. Other constituents of grape seeds include fatty acids (oleic and linolenic acids), phenolic acids, resveratrol and other flavonoids. OPCs also belong to the group of flavonoids and, as polyphenolic compounds, exhibit high antioxidant activity, thereby acting as free radical scavengers.
