Gall Pharma Grape Seed Extract Capsules is a dietary supplement with an antioxidant combination of red grape seed extract and vitamin C. Supports conjunctivitis, photosensitivity and dryness of the eyes.

Grape seed extract GPH capsules contain 150 mg oligomeric proanthocyanidins from MegaNatural®-BP grape seed extract, 180 mg vitamin C and carrot powder. As natural antioxidants, OPCs are able to scavenge free radicals (reactive oxygen species). These reactive atoms or molecules are produced by UV light (e.g. solarium), electromagnetic radiation, oxidative stress (cigarette smokers) and also naturally in the organism at any time. Radicals are part of life and can be compensated for by healthy people. Ideally, there is a balance between oxidative (radicals) and antioxidative (radical scavengers) processes in the body. If radicals are present in too high a concentration, this leads to changes or damage to functional biomolecules and thus to cell damage (e.g. atherosclerosis). OPCs also have positive effects on blood pressure, cholesterol levels and the visual process. According to studies, these natural plant substances inhibit platelet aggregation, slow down blood clotting and have a protective effect on blood vessels. Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) is also an antioxidant and is able to neutralise free radicals.

• Oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC) occur naturally in the bark, peel, seeds and leaves of various plants (e.g. grapes, pine trees). The seeds and skins of the red grape (Vitis vinifera) in particular have a high content of this secondary plant substance, which is easily absorbed by the human body. Other components of grape seeds are fatty acids (oleic and linolenic acids), phenolic acids, resveratrol and other flavonoids. OPCs also belong to the group of flavonoids and, as polyphenolic compounds, have high antioxidant activities and therefore act as radical scavengers.
