Gall Pharma Bitter Capsules are a dietary supplement with a combination of herbal bitter substances to support normal digestive function.

Natural bitter substances are found in numerous plants. They are not a uniform group of substances. Bitter substances are only characterised by their bitter taste.

Bitter-tasting plant preparations have been used for thousands of years. The bitter value is used as a quantitative measure of the bitter effect of a substance. It indicates the dilution at which a substance still tastes bitter. Amarogentin from gentian root is one of the most bitter substances found in nature. Its bitter value is given as 1:58,000,000, i.e. one gram of this substance diluted with 58,000 litres of water would still give this huge amount of liquid a bitter taste.

Bitter substances can stimulate the secretion of digestive juices. Starting in the mouth with increased saliva secretion, the stimulus is passed on to the digestive system. There is also an increased secretion of digestive juices in the stomach, pancreas, intestines and liver, the movement of the stomach and intestines is strengthened, the mucous membranes are moisturised and stimulated and their blood circulation is improved. Bitter substances also have an effect on the autonomic nervous system: on the one hand they can stimulate and strengthen, but on the other they can also relax and calm. This combination makes them ideal regulators of the digestive system and metabolism.

• Ingredients: aniseed extract (aniseed extract, gum arabic, silicon dioxide), caraway powder, yarrow extract (yarrow, maltodextrin), peppermint leaf extract, fennel extract (fennel extract, maltodextrin), capsule shell: gelatine; colouring in the capsule shell: titanium dioxide.
• Composition per daily dose (3 capsules): 180 mg fennel extract, 186 mg peppermint leaf extract, 192 mg yarrow extract, 195 mg caraway powder and 204 mg aniseed extract.
