Gall Pharma Benfotiamine 300 mg capsules are a dietary supplement containing benfotiamine, a precursor of vitamin B1. Benfotiamine is a precursor of vitamin B1 and is converted into the active form of vitamin B1 within the body.
Fat-soluble benfotiamine is characterised by significantly better bioavailability compared to water-soluble thiamine (approximately 5 to 7 times higher than vitamin B1). In the body, benfotiamine is converted into vitamin B1. Thanks to its more effective absorption, a vitamin B1 deficiency can be rectified more quickly with benfotiamine. Vitamin B1 has numerous functions in the human body: for example, thiamine contributes to normal energy metabolism and plays a key role in energy production from carbohydrates and proteins. Furthermore, thiamine contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, as it acts as a phosphate donor in the transmission of nerve impulses. Last but not least, thiamine contributes to normal psychological function and to the normal functioning of the heart. As the human body can only store vitamin B1 in small quantities, a regular intake is necessary. Benfotiamine 300 mg GPH capsules contain 300 mg of benfotiamine. Vitamin B1 is used as the starting material for production.
