Fructaid® capsules are a medical device for the prevention and relief of digestive discomfort caused by fructose malabsorption.

Whether at home or on the go, whether it’s a quick snack between meals or a sumptuous dinner at a restaurant – Fructaid® is your reliable aid for preventing or relieving digestive discomfort caused by fructose malabsorption. Fructaid® comes in the form of easy-to-swallow capsules in a practical perforated tear-off blister pack. This means you can also take individual capsules with you when you’re out and about.

Fructaid® works precisely

Fructaid® comes in the form of an easy-to-swallow capsule. Within a few minutes, the capsule dissolves in the stomach and releases the glucose isomerase pellets it contains. There, these small pellets of active ingredient mix with the chyme, but are protected from stomach acid by a coating. The glucose isomerase pellets then pass into the small intestine, where they take effect. The enzyme released from the pellets converts the fructose present in the chyme into glucose, thereby preventing digestive problems.

Gentle action

Glucose isomerase is neither absorbed from the small intestine nor does it affect the body. The action of glucose isomerase takes place exclusively and precisely within the chyme. There is therefore no risk of side effects, even with regular and long-term use.

How is the enzyme produced?

The glucose isomerase enzyme contained in Fructaid® is produced exclusively with the aid of bacteria and is therefore of microbial origin.

Directions for use

Fructaid® should be taken before a meal containing fructose. Please bear in mind that fructose is also found in many drinks, such as fruit juices and any drinks sweetened with ordinary table sugar.
For best results, take 1 to 4 capsules with a drink a few minutes before consuming foods or drinks containing fructose. If you are unsure whether a meal or drink contains fructose, you can also take Fructaid® as a precaution, as Fructaid® has no side effects. Fructaid® can be taken up to 4 times a day. Children over 100 cm in height should not take more than 10 capsules per day.
Individual dosage: Every body is different. That is why the degree of sensitivity to fructose in food varies from person to person. It is best to find out for yourself what the right amount of Fructaid® is for you. As well as your personal sensitivity, this naturally also depends on the fructose content and the composition of the food or drink you are consuming. As a rule, 1–4 capsules per meal are sufficient.
Notes: Fructaid® is not intended for people with hereditary fructose intolerance. Diabetics must calculate the fructose content of the food or drink in question as glucose when using Fructaid® and must only use Fructaid® under medical supervision. Fructaid® must not be taken if you have a known hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients. Use by pregnant women, breastfeeding women and children should only be after consulting a doctor. Do not use after the expiry date (see printing on the folding box and blister pack). Do not use if the packaging is damaged.
