Frontline Spray, solution for spraying onto the skin for dogs and cats is a veterinary medicine for prophylaxis and therapy against ectoparasites in dogs and cats, highly effective against fleas and ticks.
Fields of application
- Killing of fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.). Insecticidal efficacy against adult fleas is maintained for up to 3 months in dogs and up to 6 weeks in cats.
- Killing of ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). The acaricidal efficacy against ticks lasts up to 4 weeks in dogs and cats.
- Kills hair lice (Trichodectes canis, Felicola subrostratus). The insecticidal efficacy against hair lice lasts up to 4 weeks in dogs and cats.
- For the treatment and control of flea bite allergy (flea allergy dermatitis = FAD).
Properties
The propellant-free pump spray is very easy to apply and can be used from the first day of your pet's life.

How to use
- Application on the skin. Depending on the length of the coat, 3 to 6 ml/kg bw (7.5 to 15 mg fipronil/kg bw), e.g. bottle with 100 ml: 6 to 12 pumps per kg body weight, bottle with 250 ml or 500 ml: 2 to 4 pumps per kg body weight.
- Mechanical pump spray for spraying the solution onto the skin.
- Spray the entire body against the hairline from a distance of 10-20 cm so that the coat is completely wet. After spraying, massage the active ingredient solution into the skin with a gloved hand. Do not rub dry, but leave to dry naturally in a well-ventilated room or outdoors. Spraying creates a film on the hair that makes the coat shiny.
Instructions for correct use:
- For the treatment and control of flea bite allergy, it is recommended to treat the allergic patient as well as other dogs and cats in the household at monthly intervals.
- The minimum interval between two treatments should not be less than 4 weeks, as the tolerability of shorter treatment intervals has not been tested.
