Flocare® PURSOFT feeding tube CH 5–40 cm, 10 ST

The Flocare® PURSOFT CH 5–40 cm tube is a gentle and comfortable feeding solution for patients who require enteral nutrition. The soft and flexible tip ensures a comfortable insertion process.

The Flocare® PURSOFT tube is a transparent, transnasal tube made of polyurethane (PUR). It is suitable for short- to medium-term use of up to 6 weeks. The tube is fitted with an ENFit connector and is therefore incompatible with Luer and ENLock connectors.

Features

• All Flocare® PURSOFT tubes are made from a biostable, plasticiser-free polyurethane material. They are suitable as cost-effective standard feeding tubes for short- to medium-term nutritional therapy (approx. 6 weeks)
• Open distal tube tip to reduce the risk of bacterial contamination caused by the accumulation of food residues
• Thickened, oval, bolus-shaped, atraumatic tube tip for complication-free placement of the tube
• Two lateral, round tube exit holes close to the distal end with soft edges to ensure feeding into the stomach
• Soft tubing material for complication-free tube placement – even without a mandrel (kink resistance)
• Smaller, child-friendly ENFit™ connector for safe and standard-compliant feeding
• Shortened retaining tab on the cap to minimise accidental withdrawal of the tube
• Free from harmful substances and plasticisers (PVC, DEHP and BPA) for use without material degradation
• Length markings at 1 cm intervals for precise placement
• 3 white radiopaque strips for straightforward and safe monitoring of the tube’s position

Use

Use: short- to medium-term (up to 6 weeks). Start feeding after confirming the position, either by X-ray or by aspirating gastric fluid > pH measurement (pH < 4).
