Femibion® 0 BabyPlanung tablets are a dietary supplement for the baby planning period, especially for women who want to have children. Femibion BabyPlanung offers you the special combination of two folate suppliers (folic acid and Metafolin®).

• Pregnancy is a special time in which a new life is born. This crucial phase should be prepared with care. Femibion® BabyPlanung provides you with micronutrients , especially folate (folic acid and Metafolin®) , selected according to your needs from the moment you want to have children. Together with a varied diet, Femibion® BabyPlanung supports your body in preparing for pregnancy.
• Your baby's spinal canal closes in the first 28 days after conception, but pregnancy usually goes unnoticed this early. You should therefore make sure you have a sufficient supply of folate as soon as you want to have children . According to official recommendations, you should start taking folic acidat least 4 weeks before conception .

*The supplementary intake of folic acid increases the folate level in pregnant women. A low folate level in pregnant women is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the growing foetus. Therefore, an additional 400 μg of folic acid should be taken daily over a period of at least one month before and up to three months after conception. The connection between a low folate level as an important risk factor and the development of a neural tube defect has been scientifically proven. A neural tube defect is caused by several risk factors. A change in one risk factor may or may not have a positive effect. There are other factors that canindependently increase the risk of a neural tube defect .

• Folic acid is converted into active folate in the body.However, this activation process does not take place optimally in all women, so that not every woman can fully utilise folic acid. Metafolin® is a specially developed premium folate form that is directly available to the body without having to be converted. Metafolin® helps to ensure that almost all women areadequately supplied with folate.
• Femibion® BabyPlanung also contains 5 other vitamins and iodine.

Active ingredients

• FOLIC ACIDis a synthetically produced B vitamin that the body converts into bioactive folate. Folate contributes to normal haematopoiesis, normal homocysteine metabolism, cell division and maternal tissue growth during pregnancy.
• METAFOLIN®is a premium folate form that can be optimally utilised by almost all women.
• IODINE contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones and to normal thyroid function.
• VITAMIN B6 AND VITAMIN B2 & B12contribute to normal energy metabolism and the normal function of the nervous system.
• VITAMIN B6 AND B12 contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
• VITAMINS D & Econtribute to the normal function of the immune system and play a role in cell division.
• VITAMIN Econtributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
