The sunflower (Helianthus annuus) is a well-known plant that not only fascinated Vincent van Gogh with its striking, always east-facing flowers. It is the oil plant with the world's third largest area under cultivation after soya and rapeseed. The seeds have an oil content of up to 50% and the oil contains a variety of valuable ingredients such as minerals, vitamins and amino acids. Sunflower oil is not only popular in the kitchen, but is also used in a variety of medical and industrial applications. A cream with sunflower oil provides skin care with real nutrient power, which is particularly suitable for sensitive, dry skin.
