The parent plant used to extract spearmint oil is Mentha spicata. Spearmint has a fresh, minty odour and is known to many through its use in toothpaste or chewing gum ("spearmint"). Spearmint oil generally has a wide range of applications. It clears the mind, calms the respiratory tract and relaxes the muscles. Spearmint oil is incorporated into a skin-friendly ointment base. The spearmint oil ointment refreshes, soothes, cools, moisturises and makes the skin soft and supple.
