Pater Severin Oak Bark Spray is a dietary supplement for oral use, based on an ancient monastic recipe. It is made from a high-quality aqueous/alcoholic extract of oak bark.
The oak (Quercus) is a member of the beech family (Fagaceae). The active ingredients primarily responsible for its effects are tannins. When taken internally, it has beneficial properties for diarrhoea, chilblains and sweaty feet; when applied externally, it has an astringent (constricting) effect on haemorrhoids and bleeding.
