The secret of the monastery liqueur lies in the various herbs, whose essential oils contain bitter compounds that can stimulate the production of gastric juices. Liqueurs (or ‘Halbbitter’) are particularly beneficial after a heavy, fatty meal. It soothes an irritated stomach, relieves bloating and stimulates digestion. The monastery liqueur is ideal as an aperitif or as a digestive after a meal.

- Composition: The monastery liqueur contains a high-quality aqueous/alcoholic extract of centaury, St John’s wort, cardamom, cinnamon bark, cloves, mullein flowers, wormwood, lemon balm, angelica root and coriander.
