The droplets fell onto the leaves of a thistle”, which has since given the plant its name – the milk thistle (Silybum marianum). Milk Thistle Oil Cream contains cold-pressed milk thistle oil, blended into a high-quality ointment base made from shea butter and water. This base consists of many valuable ingredients, including the well-known silymarin, which, as effective antioxidants, protect the cells from damage caused by everyday toxins and sun exposure and support the body’s cell renewal process. Among other things, this inhibits the oxidation of lipids, a common cause of skin blemishes. Pores are refined, the complexion is balanced and fine lines are reduced. Milk thistle oil also inhibits the growth of fungi and provides relief for heavy legs. Hildegard von Bingen herself used milk thistle oil for this purpose.
