The common horehound (Marrubium vulgare L.) belongs to the Lamiaceae family. The plant, whose herb has a bitter flavour, originally comes from southern Europe. It contains diterpene bitter substances (marrubin), essential oil, lamiaceous tannins as well as flavone and flavone glycosides. Hildegard von Bingen describes the preparation of horehound wine in her writings. Horehound has positive effects on the gastrointestinal tract and is used to treat loss of appetite. Its use as a gargle solution also has a long tradition.

Adults: If required, spray 2 - 3 x 1 - 2 sprays directly into the mouth.
