Father Severin elm bark spray, 50 ml

Product information "Father Severin elm bark spray"

Pater Severin Elm Bark Spray is a dietary supplement for oral use, based on an ancient monastic recipe. It is made from a 100 per cent aqueous/alcoholic extract of elm bark.

The elm (Ulmus minor Mill.) is a member of the elm family (Ulmaceae). The mucilage is considered the most important constituent of the elm. However, it also contains tannins (phlobaphens), bitter principles and flavonoids. In folk medicine, elm bark is used to treat inflammation of the stomach and intestinal mucous membranes, inflammation of the mouth and throat, diarrhoea and indigestion. It is also said to have astringent and diuretic effects.
