The walnut tree (Juglans Regia L.) is a plant from the walnut family (Juglandaceae). The leaves of the tree contain tannins, juglone and hydrojuglone, flavonoids (mainly hyperoside), essential oils and vitamin C. It is also said to have anti-inflammatory and astringent effects.
