Tansy is a plant species from the composite family (Asteraceae). It is also known by the names wormweed, Michel's herb or tansy. Hildegard von Bingen already mentioned tansy in her writings. She used it externally as an ointment for joint complaints or gout. Cera lanae, combined with jojoba oil and almond oil, serves as the ointment base.
