Peanuts are widely enjoyed as a tasty snack between meals. Peanut oil is also very popular, particularly in Asian cuisine. Less well known, however, is the alcoholic extract of the peanut, even though it is precisely this method that releases a multitude of valuable constituents such as amino acids, various fatty acids – including oleic acid, linoleic acid and arachidic acid – vitamins, minerals, flavonoids and many other inorganic substances found in this popular seed. When incorporated into an ointment base made from lanolin, almond oil and jojoba oil, these ingredients possess skin-soothing properties. Peanut ointment is quickly absorbed by the skin, and the synergistic effect of the peanut extract enhances the beneficial properties of the individual components. The numerous antioxidants nourish damaged and prematurely aged skin, restoring its youthful, fresh appearance. Peanut ointment replenishes depleted and exhausted skin with missing minerals and nourishes it from within.
