Patchouli oil is obtained by steam distillation from the leaves of patchouli (Pogostemon cablin). The musky scent of the oil is heavy, sensual and intense. Its earthy, woody aroma is reminiscent of the Orient. Finely processed into a cream, patchouli oil ointment 5 % has skin-caring and cell-regenerating properties, so that people with acne and long-term skin problems benefit from the ointment. Patchouli refines the complexion and restores colour to dry and dull skin. When applied externally, the oil helps to combat fungal infections and helps to fight bacteria.
