The Pater Severin Mahonia Spray is an oral dietary supplement based on an old monastery recipe. Made from a 100 % aqueous/alcoholic extract of Mahonia root.
Mahonia is a plant species from the barberry family (Berberidaceae). The most important ingredients of the common mahonia root include alkaloids (e.g. berberine, oxyacanthine, berbamine) and proteins. In folk medicine, it is said to have positive effects on fever, diarrhoea, dyspeptic complaints, inflammatory complaints in the biliary tract and urinary tract as well as skin diseases.
